I give you my heart - in an art journal - Reminder of the February Challenge

Hello and welcome,
today is the day, my youngest is 5 years today and we will celebrate her with pizza, cake and balloons when she returns home from the kindergarden.

But first, I will show you my art journal page I made for the February Challenge over at Rubber Dance. This month Colour/Theme is orange, turquise and lime green and/or hearts.

Here are some details:

On this art journal page I have used stamps from Rubber Dance; Entangled heart, Textured Spring and Watercolour Christmas. I have worked in my Dina Wakley journal (which I love), pencil, black pen, Dina Wakleys Paint and some scrap paper (In fact, it's old exam answers from the business School).

I hope you will join this month Challenge over at Rubber Dance. You still have a few days left.

Decorating the front cover of Mini File Folder Art Journal - video tutorial - Step three

Hello and welcome!
I have made a series on how to make a Mini File Folder Art Journal from the start to finish. This is a tutorial on how I decorated the front cover of the Mini File Folder Art Journal. There will also be videos of how to decorate the pages inside the book. I will show you a lot of fun techniques and a lot of very funny pictures with hilarious texts designed by Betsy Skagen.
My idea is to make a book filled with humor. It's so small that it can be with me in my purse and I can draw and doodle whenever I want to. And I can just take a look at the pages/pictures the book when I feel a bit down.
My thought is that it will be a never ending book. I can add more pages with ex. washi tape, I can stamp, I can draw and doodle and make marks. I can add bits and pieces, you know - everything is allow in mixed media.

I hope you will enjoy the video.

Tomorrow I come back with a new video on how to decorate a page inside the Mini Art Journal with a image/focal point designed by Betsy Skagen as mentioned above. Here is a sneak peak:

The printables I've used on the front of my Mini File Folder Art Journal is from Mixed Up Magazine Merhandise.

Pouring Art on canvas

Hello and welcome!

Yesterday I participated in something called Pouring course. It was a course that was held by a local art store here in the city where I live. I had a great time doing this. Pouring is also called Floritol Art, and probably other things as well. I think this is my thing. I love this technique, it is so unpredictable.

Here are some pictures from the course, and some of my canvas where I've used this Pouring technique:
This is my make on the course. The Paint is still very wet. It has to dry for a couple of days.

This is the teacher and the owner of the Art Store, Malepaletten, showing this fun technique for us.

These two are canvases I made before the course with the Pouring technique

I will show you the finish result of my canvas I made on the course when it's dry.

You will definitely see more of this in the future 😊

Thank you for visiting! I will soon come back with a video tutorial on how to decorate my Mini File Folder Art Journal. You who follow me know what I am talking about. If not click here to find out.

Hugs, Anita❤
